received the Degree in Electronic Engineering, “Applications to the
broadcastings” guideline, at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in May
2000, mark: 100/100 with honours.
The title of his Thesis is: "Desing and Development of a QPSK
Demodulator for Satellite Applications". The thesis was developed in
collaboration with Alenia Spazio. The advisor was professor Gian Carlo
Cardarilli, teacher of the course: "Electronics of Digital Systems" at
University of Rome "Tor Vergata", and the co-advisor was Vincenzo
Piloni of Alenia Spazio.
Since May 2000 he has been a collaborator of the Department of
Electronic
Engineering of the University of Tor Vergata, in April 2006 he received
the Ph.D. Degree in ”Microelectronic Systems and Detectors for Space”,
the title of his Thesis is: "Desing and Development of a programmable test-platformfor rapid tests of telecommunication systems".
He has been a collaborator since November 2000 and an employee since
June 2001 of the “ULISSE Consortium” in the same department as planner
of electronic systems for telecommunications; he has got a good
experience in the design of electronic systems, hardware implementation
and realization of test benches.
The main activities in which he has been engaged are: “Design and
realization on FPGA of an OFDM modulator and demodulator” in
collaboration with Siemens-Italtel and “Design of a solid-state
mass-memory for space applications with high reliability and errors
correction” in collaboration with Italian Space Agency (ASI).
In June 2002 he participated to the “1st IEEE International Conference
on Circuits and Systems for Communications” in Saint Petersburg,
(Russia)
in which he introduced the paper whose title is ”OFDM Modem for ATM
Based
Point-Multipoint Systems”.
